I have a acer 3000 (3002 WTI) series and I recently bought a screen to replace my cracked screen. When I put the new screen it will start for about a second and then immediately shut down. All the connections are the same as my old laptop just can't figure out whether if I'd doing something wrong or if I got a bad screen. I also should mention that my screen is a matte finish and my new screen is glossy. Does this matter at all? I appreciate any help from anyone who has any experience with this model.

does the screen ever stay on long enough to see the BIOS screen?
when the screen shuts off does the PC continue to boot or does the laptop just power totally down?

the finish on the screen should not make a difference,,,

After I reconnect everything and hit the power and it turns on and it immediately shuts off. It does not stay on long enough to see the bios. Its as though it goes into a type of protection mode to protect the system if that makes sense. When i put the old screen back in it will work fine, just can't stand to look at all the cracks in the lcd anymore.
