This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     What is the fastest chip I can upgrade to? I don't see a seach feature for the forums.

    ATI, AMD Sempron. I was hoping to find someone that has used a TL-64 but from what I see 35W may be too much for the exising heatsink and fan so I have opted for a TL-56. Any thoughts?

    i'm not up on the AMD line of CPUs,, just to be honest...

    but i did see a post like this in the HARDWARE & UPGRADES section of the forum... they were discussing the exact issue of watts, heat generated, and which AMD CPU to choose it might have even involved an ACER... but not sure

    maybe K-TRON will see this and share his knowledge
