    Hi,
I'm hoping someone will be able to help me with this one!
I've never had problems with my sound before but yesterday it began stuttering and skipping. The only thing I did differently was activate the Sleep mode for the first time - whether that has anything to do with it I don't know.

The laptop is an Acer Aspire 3661WLMi.

Anyways, I read the posts referring to the same problem but on a different version of the laptop. People recomended a BIOS upgrade and I followed the links given but it said the upgrade was not compatible with my version of computer.

I was wondering if anyone knows where I should go from here. I'm a media student and my video and audio files are skipping.

I would be so grateful for any light someone could shed on the matter!
