    Hi there,

I am really still struggling with this:

I cannot play sound JUST through my headphones if they are plugged in. It keeps playing through both the headphones and the laptop? Please help?

Ive tried some of the other suggestions but nothing works! I mean HOW can I watch movies at work now without my boss knowing! lol. :D

I don't understand just how this problem is happening to you as all laptops are designed to mute the speakers when you plug in headphones and send the sound to the headphones. Perhaps what is happening to you is you haven't pushed the headphone jack all the way in, thus giving you sound on the headphones and speakers at the same time. This is the only thing I can think of because what you are explaining just isn't supposed to happen.

Have you tried using different headphones? Just to make sure that the problem is really a laptopproblem and not a headphone one.

    I agree with Evolution.

So if you ARE pushing it in all the way, and other headphones don't work, then it must be the jack.
