    when im at the screen it says media test failure check cable what does that mean?

    Do you make the recovery disks?
    The media test failure sounds like it is trying to boot from LAN and unable to.

    For Acer 3680 system recovery press Alt + F10 key at boot up and you will automatically go into system recovery.
