I keep on reading threads on upgrading HD's. I have an Acer 3680 with the 80gb western digital (5400rpm) and am trying to squeeze the most performance out of the my machine. I already have 2gb of ram and temperature isnt a problem, I always use my targus cool pad. Right now I have 8mb cache. Will I notice any difference with the 16mb cache?

What is the recommendation for a 7200RPM hard drive? I think I'll stick around 100-160gb. I read a lot about Hitachi travelstar and Seagate Momentus.
