After a certain amount of time my Acer's laptop screen 'auto power's' down, instead of a black lit screen the LCD itself is off.

    1. How can I set a new amount of time for this to happen?

    2. Is there some button combo I can press to force the laptop into this mode immediately?

    3. Might this be a Vista setting not acer's?
    /Thanks.

    peace,

Try using the "Turn Off Monitor" function under Acer's ePower Management, or alternatively, go to "Control Panel - Performance and Maintenance - Power Options" although if you have ePower, that will just take you there.
