Desperate need of help. My laptop was working fine one moment but after I place it in my backpack with some heavy textbooks, the laptop does not start up anymore. I can power the laptop up, but nothing shows up on the screen. There seems to be a clicking sound coming from the laptop but its faint and I cant really pinpoint where its coming from. (this is a SSD so It cant be a harddrive problem?, and I should be able to save my data?)

    Thank you!

Just to add, I thought it might have been a screen problem (since it broke once before and i've had to send it in for a warranty repair) but I've tried plugging it in an external monitor and it does not work. When I open the laptop, I can see the screen flash but its barely noticeable and Im not sure if its jut my eyes playing tricks on me.

The harddrive light also flashes a couple times...

    **Facepalm.
Does the screen feel solid enough for you to do that....

I might have exaggerated. they were just some paperback books/readers... which I have done before and the laptop came out fine ...

You might try removing the battery, and cold starting the laptop with AC-only power.
