    Acer 3820TG windows won't see hdd

    I tried everything intel driver still no go. I even tried to change bios to ide. Windows 7 loaded intel drivers to USB and still no go.

    Do you know what brand your hard drive is? Might need to download the drivers onto USB from their website.

    I did download drivers and hard drives don't use drivers.

    I meant the driver (controller) that you load at the start of the W7 installation when you click the "load driver" button... I think I did this for Vista, might not be the issue here. Only other suggestion would be to open up your back access panel and unplug/replug your hard drive, maybe it came loose.

    Mine worked itself loose once. I put a small piece of eraser behind it to prevent it from moving backwards.
