    Hi guys.

    I'm having a hard time without my beloved laptop.
    On my way to school i tripped, and my laptop went to the ground.

    Result: LCD cracked :-/

    Could any of you guys help me find the right sparepart and tools required for a replacement?

    This video will give you a rough guide for your model as this is a recent model, disconnect the mains and remove the battery as a precaution.
    Your model may have a slight variation but the principle is same as any other Acer laptops.

    Once you open up and got your exact screen model number, you could verify with the retailers about the compatibility, something similar to this might work(see the link below), but it's your responsibility to check and make sure you get the right screen.

    I do have a spare LG screen for 3820TG that I swapped out for an AUO. Let me know if you're interested.

    This site lists the Acer authorized parts resellers in the US. Acer Support - Answers, E-Mail, Chat - Where can I order parts or accessories for my computer? The 3820TG uses displays from 3 different makers. I have an AUO. LG and Samsung make them too. If you can get the Samsung, it seems to be the one that got the best reviews.     Edit: also found a replacement display on Fleabay. http://cgi.ebay.com/13-3-LCD-SCREEN...121?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item255b5bc249 It's a hong kong company and I have no idea if they are reputable. I've had very mixed results ordering from China.

    The screen has already been removed, and I have to confess .. i didn't check the serialnumber before it went down the bin..

    I will try the one from zephir or buy one from ebay.

    Why not order from Laptop Screen . com ? They have very reasonable prices and shipping charges. Here is the screen you want

    I never bought anything from them though. Prices for some screens are half of what you'd pay on ebay.

    This is where I buy screen replacement for my customers. I like their warranty policy. Their customer service is above average. They are located in Canada, I think, since that is what it said on the mailing label. We are forced to buy insurance on the shipment though.
