    Acer 4520g Black screen..nothing but black screen..

    Got a problem with these lappie, 2 days after downgrading from 185.20 to 181, my laptop froze in the windows loading screen (after entering my password) I waited for about 20 minutes but to no avail, it's stuck on that window. Seeing no alternative, i did a hard-reset via the power button and turned the switch on again and now I've got a spectacular black screen!, wow won't even let me go to safe mode..jeez..this lappie literally is ripping me. One thing I also noticed is that the fan will run for 2-3 seconds then stop. Any inputs and ideas with this?

    Maybe the GPU died on you..? Try to connect your laptop to an external monitor to rule out an LCD problem.
    Do you see the initial ACER screen or BIOS version CPU clock etc? Something?
