I have an Acer 4710 on my hands at the moment.

The problem is that the laptop's keyboard and touchpad freezes up after a few minutes. I've checked the temperature, it's all okay (although the fan is dead, I've put a powerful laptop cooler to compensate that).

I've updated the touchpad and keyboard drivers, but still the same.

Connection to the motherboard have also been checked, and it's also fine.

Connecting an external mouse is not a problem, as when the touchpad freezes, the USB mouse can still work.

AFAIK, the motherboard has been replaced, due to a white-screen problem.

I've also scanned the laptop for any suspicious software, but it is 100% clean.
