So I'm curious: what sort of battery life are folks experiencing with this laptop? I've had mine for about a week and I'm still breaking it in, but it looks like I'm hovering around 6 hours or so. And this is with the default Acer power management settings (not that I know how to change those, though).

I'm a little underwhelmed as I thought I'd get a little closer to 8 hours - especially after reading cnet's review of the 3810, which apparently gave them over 5 hours of battery life even during video playback.

It depends on what you do with it. If you say are just doing some word processing and that sort of stuff, you can definitely reach 8 hours if you ask me.

That said, I haven't found any Acer Power Management program? I just only see the power options offered by Windows Vista... the manual in the software doesn't say anything about a separate program either, unless you are referring to Acer PowerSmart, but I think that just runs with your button and you can't tweak the settings.
