I recently prurchased a 4810tz and changed the operating system to Xp pro because of my dislike with Vista. I used the Xp drivers from Acer's website and am having 2 issues.

1/ I can not change the brightness via the Fcn / L-R arrow keys, the system locks up and has to be rebooted. When I remove the Intel graphics accelerator, these keys work but the graphics are terrible, much like 800x640
I have been in touch with Acers support line but keep getting told I should not have changed operting system.
If anyone has seen this issue or can recommend the fix I would appreciate the help.

2/ The bluetooth does not recognize anything, tells me to make sure the bluetooth has been connected and turned on. (I understand it may not have the module inside so that may be the problem ) if this is the case I may buy a bluetooth dongle, if that works? They are very small now and inexpensive?

After countless hours of installing different drivers for Xp I found the issue was with the Bios, not the drivers, the unit was shipped with 1.15 and as soon as I upgraded it to 1.30 the brightness Fcn L/R arrow keys work. Another difference I noticed was that the screen goes brighter when I plug the power adapter in. (Much the same as any other laptop I have owned, the 1.15 did not do this) I also think the cooling fan may run more than before with the upgraded bios but am not positive as I no longer have 1.15 to reload and Acer will not supply it to me?
I also tried upgrading to ver 1.31 but the disc drive was no longer functional.
Hope this helps anyone who has had these issues. :D
