    Hi guys,
I have a Acer 4820tg, its a great laptop and i enjoy it very much. The battery life is great, and I've successfully been able to install a backlit keyboard mod. Now my problem is sometimes when I put the computer to sleep, and then wake it up to use it, the fan will suddenly start running faster then usual thus producing warm air, and reducing battery life. I'm not quite sure what is causing this, but it only tends to happen when i shut the laptops lid to make it sleep. My thought is since I am supply power from my USB (5v) to power my keyboard, the backlights are always on, supplying the extra heat causing the computer to work harder. This is what I think is causing the problem. For me to fix the problem i would have to restart my computer, and it will be back to normal.

If heat is building up while its in a sleep state then when you turn it back on it will compensate for the time it went without a fan spinning.
    Get a cooler.

When the laptop comes out of sleep, there is a bug that causes your dedicated GPU to be enabled as well as your integrated GPU, which you are working on. This causes a bigger power drain, resulting in decreased battery life and increased heat output, which makes the fan spin harder.
