    Acer 5072Wlmi Side buttons not working

    On the Acer 5072 there are media buttons (e.g. play/pause, stop, volume and forward/backward). Usually they work whenever I'm running WMP whether it's minimised, or hidden in my firefox browser. Suddenly they stopped working. Now they only work if I have the player maximised and that can get annoying because I like to hide my player. How can I fix this?
