    Acer 5100 AMD Turion SLOW

    Hi all
    Everyone tired of this question I know, but have been trawling the forums with no clear answer. Above notebook (AMD TURION dual core, but with only 1/2 GB ram) was pretty slow right from the start. Questions- everyone talks about getting rid of "acer bloatware" but just what is this precisely, and how do I know it is safe to get rid of.
    Will an upgrade to 1GB ram sort out my woes?
    I do notice that task manager shows that I invariably have a lot of stuff running at the same time- but thought that as this thing is dual core, it should be fast!!??

    And if it has Vista, 512 Mb of ram seem quite small, needing a lot of access to HDD. Doubling the ram will surely improve the situation.
