    Hi,

I've bought a notebook Acer Aspire 5100 and I am
having problems with the laptop camera (Acer OrbiCam).

Currently it is not working very well, because the
image is showing green and purple lines across it in
random places. After sometime OS reboots because of
this issue.I tried many times to see if it is
working, but still i face the same issue.
I have Windows XP installed on the machine.
I tried to re-install the driver for the camera using
the driver I found at the following URL:
    http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/as_3100_5100_5110.html
    Bison Camera Driver 5.0.0.8c
This installation was not helping me to solve this
issue. Please tell me if there are supplementary
settings that should be done for the camera to fix the
    issue
Could you please provide me a link where I can find
improved software and drivers for this laptop model.

    Thank you,
    Ravi Kishore

Update your video card drivers. They actually have an impact on your camera's ability to function properly.

Try looking here, scroll down until you see the Camera Driver/Blurry Issues. Not sure if this will help, but it might be worth a try.
