    Acer 5102 + ATI Catalyst 6.10 != not recognized

    Can anyone get the Catalyst 6.10 driver to work with the ATI Radeon Xpress1100. I got the previous (v. 6.8 installed from the acer support site; the following versions all don't seem to recognize the X1100.

    It seems that your graphics card isn't supported under Catalyst 6.10. A few people have posted regarding to this matter, that some other cards are not supported either. It seems strange of ATi to not support these cards. In your case, you will have to use the latest drivers, that support your card, until ATi can develop another Catalyst that supports your card.

    They didnt work on my 5102 either. Though the new chipset did install the next day my HD audio and 56k modem died, so it is not recommeded to use the new ATI chipset package, Even though the ATI site says it supports Xpress 200 chipsets. The Acer 5102 BIOS obviously had some problems with it.

    Well theres a new BIOS out. 2.40 but have not decided to install it, still not sure if i'll return this or not.
