    Hi everyone!

I did a search hoping to find some relevant results concerning this notebook's GPU performance, and i did find, however i'm a little baffled by the 3DMark scores people have been sporting around here. I know this laptop has the 64-bit version of the ATI MR X1600, however the scores seem low (2500 3DMark someone posted in his Cat 6.12 review). Considering that this has an X2, i believe it should be scoring higher than this, especially when single core Turions with the same graphics card and slower RAM score around 3200 in '05 (like the Asus A6KT, for instance which also has a 64-bit X1600). That is why i must ask of the Aspire 5112 owners to post some 3DMark05 benches at Default settings and Optimal Performance set for both CPU and GPU. It would be of very much help as i'm contemplating buying one and i was struck by the difference in 3DMark scores i've seen around.

    I am...in debt! :) Thank you!

Oh, and BTW, nice forum you got here!

There is a review here for the Aspire 5112. If I remember correctly, the benchmarks scores were posted there. It can easily be found by searching in the News & Reviews forum here at NBR.

    Here it is:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=82471&highlight=aspire+5112+review

    2425 3DMarks.

I wouldn't put too much stock in synthetic benchmarks scores though. That's exactly what they are--synthetic. This system is not designed to be a powerful gaming system, and 2400+ 3DMarks will make for some rather decent gaming considering it's only sporting a 64 MB GPU.

Yeah, i know the review, and that's exactly why i wanted someone to post concrete results becausue i find it hard to believe that this notebook scores only around 2500 even considering it has a 64-bit bus. Other laptopts like the Asus A6KT (like i said) get around 3300 points in 05, and these are results posted by actual users. So, you see, that's why i wanted what i wanted.

So, my plea still remains : someone please post actual results if possible.

Anyway, thank you for your reply chrisyano

    Thanks!
