    Hey Guys,

I've got this laptop here, and I'm awfully happy with it, but I can't for the life of me figure out if a) it's got bluetooth and b) if so, how to enable / configure / use said bluetooth.

I'm pretty sure that it does have that functionality, but it's a complete pain trying to find any literature at all about the 5112, it's not even listed on Acer's mfg site.

Thanks for the help in advance!

I also bought Aspire 5112 WLMi which came with installed software for bluetooth so I thought I have it but I don't.It also has that bluetooth switch so I was pretty shure that it has bluetooth but no no,every Acer notebook has it.

There are two models of Acer Aspire 5112 WLMi:

    1. more expensive ( 100 GB,1 GB ram,ATI X1600,BLUETOOTH)

    2. cheaper (80 GB,512 ram,ATI X1300,NO BLUETOOTH) -which I have :)

You probably have that bluetooth icon in sistem tray when your laptop starts, right click on it and if it sayes No Bluetooth device then I am sory... :)

    My specs are as follows:

    ATI X1600
    2 GB System Ram
    160GB HDD

Which confuses me. No reference to bluetooth in the system

I remember the bluetooth switch doing something when I originally bought it, but now it doesn't do anything at all

Strange. I have the same model to.
Try use the backup DVD. install all the bluetooth driver there. Where did you buy the 5112?
