My 3 year old son pried the left shift key off the keyboard and broke it where it attaches to the keyboard. I wonder if I can order just one key instead of having to send it in for repair. Thanks for any help anyone can provide!

No, you'll have to replace the keyboard.

I've seen on ebay people who sell individual keys, so it could be possible. For example here http://cgi.ebay.com/ASUS-Keyboard-K...mQQptZPCA_Mice_Trackballs?hash=item3ef4d9a2dc. I'm sure you will be able to find someone who has keys for your laptop. I think it's justified to at least spend few hours searching the INTERNET for an individual key before you replace the entire keyboard.
    EDIT:
Here are some more information about replacing individual keys: http://www.fonerbooks.com/laptop15.htm

I just saw that those guys I linked above have acer keys. That was result of 30 second google search. As I said, spend a couple of hours looking, and I'm sure you'll be able to find a store that is best for you.
