    Acer 5253-BZ663 missing drivers

    Hello

    Well, I bought an Acer 5253 this week and did a fresh install of Windows 7 WITHOUT backing up any drivers or softwares from Acer.

    I already dowloaded some drivers from the Acer website, like lan, Wireless and others, so the notebook is working OK, but I can't seem to find the sata/raid controller driver (don't know if that is the correct name) ANYWHERE. Before installing W7, I changed from AHCI to IDE in the Bios otherwise there was no way to install the godamn OS.

    Also, today when I was in Youtube, the VGA driver suddenly failed, making the Youtube screen go green. I continued to watch videos and after 1 minute or so the driver failed again, giving me a Blue Screen and making the laptop restart. Maybe I did something wrong when installing VGA driver?

    The notebook did not come with any disc.

    You may want to check AMD website for more recent video drivers.
    As for SATA/RAID controller- there doesn't seem to be any drivers available although not being able to use AIDA on the system I'm don't really know what I'm looking for. I tried to find drivers related to AMD A50M chipset but nothing interesting came up.
    If you have not removed the hidden partition (aka recovery partition) you may be still able to burn recovery DVDs and an additional DVD with all the drivers and apps.
