Hopefully someone can enlighten me on what the problem/issue is, with this Acer Aspire 5515.
Please post if I didn't provide enough info and I will post back with what's asked.

I know the HDD is fine because I re-formatted it in another Acer computer. I also attempted flashing the BIOS (from a flashdrive) using the renamed ZG5IA32.fd and FLA.exe files with no luck.

When I press power up button the computer just stays on the screen that says "Acer empowering Technology " and the blue bar at bottom loads up about 75% of the way and then the screen just stays like that.

If I power up while holding the ALT + ESC buttons, I get this screen:

I tried booting with and without the battery in place and it was the same result either way.Only other thing I noticed was that the fan stopped spinning after a few seconds(at about the same time the blue loading bar stopped advancing)

Any help/input/ideas and suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

If the fan stops running would some protection circuit stop the computer from continuing it's start-up process immediately or would the computer shut down only when it starts to get too hot?
