Hi, I have an issue with my acer 5520. When I press F2 and enter setup My computer will just shut off! It may take 5 seconds or even up to 20 seconds but I got on to change my login options and it just shut off. I did this several times and it shut off time after time. My computer never turns off when I load windows and run Vista. I don't know if I need to update my bios or what. Any help would be appreciated!

Sounds like the laptop is overheating. FYI when you're into the BIOS the CPU usage is always at 100% so if there is some problem with the cooling system the CPU can overheat in seconds. I suggest you clean your fan and vents off dust and stuff.

Hey thanks. Can I put a new fan in this laptop that would help cool it better. My fan runs non-stop and the computer seems to be hot all the time. It never stops running while it is on!!

Not-stopping fan is another symptom of overheating, clean that thing. No you can't put another fan in your laptop, there is no room for such modifications. Besides, it's not needed, once you have it all cleaned up the one you have will deal with all the heat.
