    Hi all,

I'm having a big headache with my 5520g. After turning on it goes by acer splash screen and just shuts off...5 second or so. Sometimes I can go into BIOS settings but the same thing happens again.
My local reseller told me it is probably a dead motherboard. Didn't get it to diagnostics cause don't want to spend money on that if it's major failure.
My warranty passed like 2 months ago
What do you people think, could it be something less expensive of a problem and is it even worthy to get it repaired?
How can I test the memory/graphics?

    Big thanx.

If you have access to a CD Burner, You can take a look at the ultimate boot disc. It includes Memtest and a lot of other diagnostics tools, It's free and I have had good success with it.

To burn the ISO in windows vista I use ImgBurn also free and worked well.

    Good Luck

When you can hit BIOS settings it is not dead.
    Perharps some other peripheral failed.
