    Hi
I have recently purchased an acer 5535 aspire. It comes with a multi-gesture touchpad which allows functionality such as pinch-action zooming.

However I find it very annoying and was hoping someone knew how to deactivate this part of the touchpad off?
I still want to use the touchpad so using Fn + F7 to disable the whole touchpad is not an option but trying to find a way to just disable / de-activate the multi gesture part?

    Kind Regards
    Thomas

Hi, I think that it is not possible to deactivate that part of the thouchpad from the system. Drivers don't let you do so.

However, I have found this utility, TwoFingerScroll, that I think it lets to enabling/disabling multi-gesture touchpad:

    http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/...-to-replace-virtualing-on-synaptics-touchpad/

You can download it, run it and activate the "Start with Windows" checkbox from the "hand" icon at system tray.

    I hope it helps!

    Manuel.
