Hi there folks,
After having a look through the forums and not finding anything specific to my issue I thought I would join up and post my query directly.
I have an Acer 5535 laptop which I bought three months ago (quite a good deal I might add from PC World which was a surprise!) but I seem to be having problems with it.
I don't have anything major installed on it, Office 2003, Firefox, MSN Live and Football Manager 2009 is about the extent of it.
Anyway, it seems that when I run Football Manager it is VERY slow. I would normally post on a gaming forum but I have noticed the same performance issues when using Firefox or any Office 2003 program (excel for example is very slow to react when I do anything).
Now I had the same installations on my older laptop (which is a fraction of the spec) and I don't have these problems.
I've ran Spybot, Adaware, Defrag, Disk Cleanup but I'm still getting the same performance issues (slow and the mouse pointer is "sticky" an unresponsive when you move it across screen).
Has anyone had the same issue or can they offer any advice?
Many thanks,
Andy

If you have Norton anti virus , remove it and test the system .

I had the same problem with mine, also from PC World. Rang tech guys and did a bios update. Works fine now. HTH.
