    Acer 5570 - modem on high audio bus

    I have installed everything from the Acer website for this laptop and I am still getting this device wanting to install every time I boot the computer.

    It came with Vista installed on it, but it was horrible, even after upgrading to 2GB memory, so I downgraded to XP.

    This is the only issue I have with the laptop. Everything else works great.

    Does anyone have or had the same issue with this model and fixed this?

    Did you try the ezdock modem driver? From the Acer Euro FTP site.

    Yes I have tried that driver. No luck.

    It's really odd that no driver off the Acer site can install the device, yet if Vista is installed there is no problem.

    Did you try to install them or use the upgrade from device manager? Also try the vista drivers.
