    Acer 5570 Orbicam help

    ive just reinstalled vista recently
    i got all the drivers from ftp://ftp.support.acer-euro.com/notebook/aspire_5570/vista

    but the problem is, i dunno which Orbicam driver i shld choose
    im running 32-bit Vista

    and also ive downloaded the Acer_Orbicam_(Bison)_XP-Vista_x32_v6.96.0.12a.zip
    but when i extract it, it says thers an error in extracting

    try going thru www.acer.com maybe dowloading from the US or EUROPEAN site using the www web interface instead of the FTP site will link you to a driver that is not corrupted.

    I am not sure what problem you had with the webcam, but I had a problem on my Aspire 5520-5912 (Vista Home Premium) and maybe my solution may help other people with problems. Acer's support is horrible, but after four calls we determined that the webcam app failed, because I changed the default location of the "Pictures" folder. The program looks in the default location and fails if it has been changed. The program worked once I changed the folder back to its default.
