I have an acer 5570z, bought around a year ago, its just getting slower and slower. I gave it to a family friend so the thing is he wants me to help me to fix it for him.
I tried a clean install-worked fairly well at the begining, but after a week the speed just went from rocket to bicycle.
Is there some software solution I can use? I suggested to him to use the ccleaner, i also did a vista tweak for him. Oh and yea it has vista basic...which is well useless in my opinion.

    Any help would be appreciated!

try checking the E-Power management. For some reason it slows down the CPU after about a week and does not speed it up again. Turning it back up to max again should fix it.
