Hello. I have an Acer Aspire 5600 (5601AWLMi). I hit the power button and it comes on. I hear the HD try to boot and the fan turn on. After about 4 seconds, it turns back off and does the same thing again. Then it won’t try to turn on again. The screen is always blank. I put a bootable WinXP and I hear the CD spin about the same time the fan kicks on, then off again. I removed the battery to just run from the power supply, exact some thing. Any ideas? I posted a video of it to check out. Thanks for any help!

I know the 5000 series have had trouble with a bad connection. Try applying a little pressure a little to the left of your touchpad while you boot up (You'll have to experiment a little to find the right spot). If this helps, start cursing and replace mb
