So I was using the computer, and it froze. Windows was acting up lately, so I thought it was just being weird again. Held power to turn off, pushed it again to turn on, black screen (no backlight either), beep error (1 long, 2 short).

I disassembled, cleaned, made sure thermal paste was still good, same error. Any ideas? I've googled and seems like that error is a video adapter error?

I'm not in warranty... so can I suffice it to say I have a dead machine? It just sits there after the error.

Integrated - Then nothing, Try to get a cheap mobo from EBay or exchange the dead mobo for a new one at Notebook Solutions for cheap (well, not that cheap)....

Ok i do not wish to give false hopes , but how in earth you realized the problem!! when the Phoenix beep codes are so complex and many .

All codes had four sounds and not three .

Yes .. you have a problem , YES something is wrong , but get some live help from some one who knows more than you .
