I recent got a 5630 model Acer Aspire Notebook, when playing media that included audio or strictly an audio file, upon stopping the audio manually I would
hear this sort of muffled short digitally sounding halt (like an abrupt interruption to the audio) .. its hard to explain the sound.

Anyway, after updating my 5630 models BIOS, this problem appears to be fixed. after updating the system bios to version 3.23 (previous 3.03?) and restarting, my system found new hardware 'realtek audio' & it installed automatically, the sound issue was gone.

Has anyone else even had this issue?

Yep, Still trying to resolve. Only happens with DVD's not anything else. updated bios and all drivers but still there. goign through the process of reprogramming the controllers at the moment as sure it is a resource issue for the audio card rather than a hardware fault.
