    Hello guys,

Well,i bought an acer aspire 5671 during this x-mas and i am pretty satisfied with it but recently i changed my mind on upgrading the ram to 2 gb.I saw some screenshots of this model's inner parts-like motherboard, cpu, also the graphic card and to my surprise i noticed, that the cpu is socketed so it's possibly replaceable. Is it true or not and can i get a new cpu like t 2700 on this laptop aside from upgrading the ram?And in the end can the gpu be changed too(i doubt greatly though :)
    Thanx in advance.
    Rumen

yes, you can upgrade the RAM. It is an easy and quick procedure, that boosts performance by quite a bit, but that is only if you need it. If you currently have something like 1 GB of RAM, and you are only using about half that normally, then an extra 1 GB will do very little in terms of performance. But if you game alot, then the extra 1 GB will help quite a bit, as newer games use alot of RAM.

Your processor can be upgraded. You may need a BIOS upgrade, if currently you have a Core Duo, and you wish to transfer over to a Core 2 Duo. It should be mentioned in the BIOS details, whether the BIOS will support the new processors. Bear in mind, that a processor upgrade will void the warranty.

Zero your warranty will remain intact if you return the original hardware to the original condition before sending it in for warranty etc. They won't support unsupported hardware by default but default equipment yes.

how do we check whether the new processor is supported by the BIOS?

I was checking out some online stores, and they don't seem to sell mobile processors except newegg, but they do not ship them internationally. Do you know of any other online stores that sells those processors?

    thanks..
