Wondering if someone can help me get an external monitor (westinghouse37w3) to work with the 5672 using the dvi out. I can get the desktop on my screen but the settings are all off and nothing I tried sees to make it fit right . I am using the newest omega drivers. What i get on screen is my windows backround less the icons start button ect....If i mess with it enough i can get the full windows screen but it is always either cut off or wont fill the screen.Thanx in advance for any tips.Simply changing the resolution dosent seem to work either as i tried them all.

Heve you check you westing house tv options.
check and see if there is an overscan options.
Overscan will make the image go allitle over your current res.
Mess with those options and see if that helps.
Also, check to see that your not just extending your desktop and not cloning it. That should be in the ati tools. Just a thought.

By the way, are you using OMEGA 6.9?
If you are how are they, and do they allow you to use power profiles (as in ac power or on battery juice)?

    I'll appreciate you answer, thanks.

I hope this will solve you lcd problem. Good luck.

I extend my desktop and use Theatre Mode to automagically play video full screen on the external panel. I am using an Acer AT3705 LCD TV with a 1920*1080 native resolution.

This is with the stock drivers. The 64 bit memory on the X1600 is so slow that no driver will ever deliver much of a preformance improvement so I just stick with stock.

You should see 1920*1080 as an option. When the Westinghouse is attached, go into CCC and enable the monitor, click the Westy, click the 'force' button, if HDTV is there click that and the 1080p 60 option. You should be set.

If the HDTV options are not there, check the Westy website for an INF file to tell Windows what the panel can do.

Also, the avsforum.com has many threads on your TV.
