The Play/Pause/Stop etc. buttons on the side of my laptop don't work with Winamp. Is there a way that they can? Because I use them alot with iTunes and just got Winamp. If not, i might go back to using iTunes.

you need to enable global hotkeys in winamp. Look under options / prefrences. Enable global hotkeys.

If the buttons are not mapped, you will need to do so accordingly. Select the action, hit the button you with to assoicate it with, save, vollia.

Without being in any program, press the VOL+ key. You should see a Green Volume Bar along the bottom of your display. If you do not see it then try reinstalling the Acer Launch Manager.

I think its because you have seperate buttons for media control in the 5672, rather than integrated buttons (such as Fn+Home, Fn+Pg Up) and those buttons are not recognizable with WinAmp.

If you go into Winamp PReferences and into Global Hotkeys:
    1) Checkmark Enabled.
    2) Click on "Playback: Play/pause" in the list.
    3) Below click on the text box next to Hotkey.
    4) Press the key you wish to use.
    5) Click Set.
    6) Press close when you have mapped all the keys you want.

Now try the keys again. If they do not work then I'm guessing that those keys are not recognizable by Winamp. However you can try one more thing:

    1) Go to Winamp Preferences
    2) Go to Global Hotkeys
    3) Make sure Enabled is checkmarked
    4) Click on Restore Defaults
    5) Close

    6) Control Panel
    7) Add/Remove Programs
    8) Left-hand side: click on "Set Program Access and Defaults"
    9) Right-hand side: click on "Custom"
    10) Under choose a default media player, click the radio (circle) right next to Winamp.
    11) Press OK.

Now open Winamp and play a song, then try using the media keys on your keyboard.

I don't have Winamp but if you need to remap keys try remapping the Fn+<Up Arrow>, increase volume and Fn+<Down Arrow>, decreases volume. They can be found on the lower right of the keyboard. And if that works see if that also remapped the vol+ and vol- buttons.
