    Hello, i have a 5672 WLMI ATI Radeon x1600, 1GB of Ram etc etc,
    im having some problems with playing fullscreen video in Vista Ultimate its very choppy and it seems like it "lags" anybody encountered the same problem? ive tried different codecs, ive tried different drivers for the ATI card, has anybody encountered the same issues, have any ideas?


    PS, it actually seems to work a bit better in WMP then in Winamp, and almost perfectly in VLC for some odd reason,

    VLC has codecs built in. Remove all those un-needed codecs.
    Install ffdshow if you want to use another player.

    Defrag your hard drive FULLY. Report back ;) but with more details i.e. type of media you are attempting to play etc

    i just made the different partitions, so its completely clean, ive tried FFDSHOW and the Betaversions of it, tried manually intalling DivX and Xvid, same problem.

    im trying to play .avi (xvid ac3 ) etc.


    But after much googling, it seems to be a hardware Issue with ATI and Nvidia.
