    Hey,
My laptop has recently overheated, and after 2 years of serving me, I still want to keep it, for memories, and as a backup.
The ati x1400 has overheated inside of it, and only part of the display shows, rest are lines of colour :p.

Question is, I need an ati x1400 replacement. Or if it's possible the upgrade (to x1600).

Anyoen know where to get it?

    Thanks,

    Nathan

I would have to replace the whole motherboard? I thought it was intergrated into the board, when i took it completly apart (speakers were broke... fixed them though :p).

Anyone know where I can get the motherboard from?
    Thanks

A new motherboard will cost A LOT, you're better off getting a new laptop. Unless you found a used mobo on ebay.. but if you go that way make sure it's an exact match with your model otherwise it may not fit.

Yea sorry to say your 5672 is hosed, it's a really nice laptop. (I'm posting from it now currently).

Look into the new laptops hat have MXM cababilities (look into E series dell's or performance acer laptops)

Okay, it's not worth it then.
But yeah it was a good laptop, and ssx4life - I don't need any more performance than my alienware m15x :p
