From different threads, it seems like there are two different ones, each called the "X1400" graphics card, but one is only 128Mb and the other 256? I'm confused. I thought the X1400 was 256Mb and the X1300 was 128Mb (at least it works like that for dell). Can someone clear this up?

I guess what I need to know is, if I buy the 5672 with 1Gb ram and 100Gb harddrive (the cheaper model), will I receive the X1400 with 256Mb dedicated or 128Mb dedicated? If it's 128Mb, will getting the 2Gb, 120Gb harddrive model get me 128Mb more dedicated video ram? Thanks.

with the X1400, some provide the following configuration:
    - 128MB dedicated plus 128 Hypermemory
    - 128MB dedicated plus 384 Hypermemory
    - 128 Hypermemory (no dedicated)
    and etc.

RAM can always be added on later.

The card has 128MB onboard, irrespective of configuration.
It can utilise between 128MB - 384MB of system memory, dependng on installed RAM and graphical use.
So in Asia, where the 5672 comes with 512MB of memory as standard, the card is advertised/stickered as 256MB, i.e. 128+128, but in the US where it is sold with 2GB of RAM as standard (you lucky people!) it is advertised/stickered as 512MB, i.e. 128+384shared.
AFAIK, all manufacturers are using the same base card.

I read from somewhere that X1400 isn't fast enough to use up all 256MB even it would be all dedicated...
