Has anyone had the oppurtunity to try out the new Aspire 5720 - 6279. The basic specs are the following:

    Core2Dou 5250, 2 GB Ram, 200 GB Hard drive, ATI HD 2600 - 512 card, 8 cell battery, pre-n wireless, bluetooth.

This notebook is going for around $950.00 CDN and seems like a good value. I am interseted in purchasing one a just wondered what your opinion is? Is the 200 GB Hard drive only 4200 RPM? Does it really affect the speed that much? I guess for the low price the hard drive could be replaced with a newer 7200 RPM model.

    Good Specs & reasonable price!

    ATI HD2600 512MB (DDR2) VGA card = GF8600M GT DDR2

    200GB HDD should be 5400Rpm, but don't worry if it's not !
You can upgrade your HDD to 7200Rpm
