New to the forum and hope I've found the correct place to post this problem.
Granddaughter has a 5720 which has developed the following fault:
Power supply connected and on. charging light is flashing orange, power on light also goes from steady green to flashing orange. No charging of battery seems to be taking place. Have switched both battery and charger with same effect. Help please

So you have tried another battery and charger... take it they were like for like items?

All I can suggest is the age old reset method of removing the battery and charger and then holding the power button for 20 seconds or so to discharge and reset the logic ciruitry that may be being held in a corrupt/indeterminate state. Refit battery and charger and try again.
