    Hi,

I would like to upgrade the CPU of my old Acer 5720ZG, from dual-core T2310 to core 2 duo T9500 or T9300.

The problem is that I am a real newbie... I don't understand anything in PC upgrading...
I just saw that .NetRolller 3D has already done this upgrade on his 5720ZG.

If someone could help me, step-by-step, it would be fantastic !!

    Thank you very much. :D

    (sorry for my poor english...)

There are not too many steps.

Make sure you have the latest BIOS before upgrading.
Check out .NetRolller 3D's BIOS mod and decide if you need it or not.

Download a service manual for 5720ZG and follow instructions to disassemble the notebook, replace the CPU and assemble the notebook again (there is a step by step guide with pictures in the service manual).

Just make sure to apply a thin layer of good quality thermal paste on both CPU and GPU before assembling again.
Take your time with it as you don't want to disassemble it again just to re-paste.
