Hello, Right i tried to connect my acer up to my plasma via VGA to HDMI cable.
Connect the VGA to my laptop and the HDMI to the TV. I tried to get it connecting by pressing the windows key and "P" selected one of them options and then pressed "FN" and "F5" key which then the laptop went to a black screen ( i think) i could not get it off that sceen so i disconnected the cable and tried to press the buttons that i pressed to get it on in the first place. No luck so i held the power button for it to switch off.

When i powered it back on it went into windows recovery mode went on to a grey sceen and then hanged on that screen untill you turned it off. then i tried to boot in safe mode and then it hanged on classpnp.sys and i could not get it to do anything. tried to put a windows 7 disk in to see if i could repair and no luck at all. Ended up putting a windows vista disk in which i would actually let me do something unlike the windows 7 disk.

So i went ahead and installed vista but i made sure i did not delted the partition with all the OEM stuff. installed it fine and then put windows 7 on again but to find that i had none of the acer branded stuff the partition is still there but i dont have the winows managment tools which allow you to restore your Laptop. Is there anyway i can get all that stuff back on ?
    Thanks Jacko

Some of Acer apps are available through Acer Support website.
    Download

Acer ePower Management, Launch Manager, Cyberlink Webcam app, but that's about it.
