This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Just because someone else has the machine and likes it does not mean it will be good for you.

    You and he might have completely different expectations/uses for the notebook.

    Maybe you care more for build quality/mobility than they do.

    Notebooks are much more personal than desktops, and for that reason there is a separate forum with very good outlines for info so that you can get the informed decision you are looking for.
