    Hi there,

I am a newbie in this forum and good day for everybody...

I bought acer 5739g 2-3 months before and using up to date with windows vista ultimate x64 edition with no problems... 3 or 4 days ago i decided to try windows 7 ultimate x64...its a good sotfware IMHO but i am fed uo with only one touch button... The acer arcade deluxe button on the upright corner boots up the machine when i press on it (arcade deluxe was not installed, when press it while windows is working nothing happens)...the weird thing is when i press that button no backlight appears but the button works normally...

I tried everything... made bios update, tried acer launch manager (every version), re-formatting windows again but no good...if i try to use it with launch manager, windows media centers shows up but the booting problem continues when the machine is turned off...

Now i want to disable the arcade deluxe button but i dont know where to...

Any help would be very appreciated...

If the Arcade Deluxe button is pressed when the machine is off, it normally boots up Acer Arcade Instant-On. If that isn't present, it functions as a regular on button.
As far as I know, it can't be permanently disabled.

Look at it this way, you have a spare power button, or just do not press it, problem solved.
