    Acer 5739G does support Core 2 Quad?

    Hello guys,

    I got a Acer 5739G and i wanna upgrade my cpu. I have one Q9000 C2Q. but it doesnt work. WHO has the core 2 quad support bios mod? Any can help me?

    It will not. As I have written in 5739G thread, our version of PM45/GM45 chipset is the first revision. Intel just forgot to turn this feature on in first revision of PM45/GM45. That`s the first. The second - our motherboard lack of circuits, that ensure the usage of Quad processors. It can bee seen in circuit diagrams of 5739G motherboards. Even if you try to solder new PM45 that is from last revision, even after that our laptop will not support Quads.

    7738G supports Core 2 Quad and Quad Extreme processors. In addition, after some modifications with motherboard it can utilize MXM3.0 Type B GPUs.

    I see that. I understood. I will sell my Q9000, i am go on T9400. :)
