Hello, I've just bought Samsung SSD 840 Pro 256 GB of space, but bios (3310v) don't even recognize it on my computer, it's like without HDD/SSD.

So, I've installed the same SSD on newer PC with SATA III and it shows me that everything is O.K.

    So, the questions are:
    1. So what's the problem with my acer aspire 5739G?

    2. What SATA is installed on this 5739G model? (I, II, III?)

This notebook supports only SATAII. Your SSD is SATAIII.

The SSD should work fine. I used a SATAIII in mine for over a year. Check the drive using Samsungs software. You might also need to update the drives firmware using Samsungs tools, all of which are found here

    Thanks for your reply.
I've checked SSD on other PC and it has the latest firmware, but anyway won't work on my PC ;/

I think there is problem only with this Samsung SSD 840 Pro. I read in google that more then me has the same problem only with this SSD model.
