    Acer 5740 recovery DVD not working

    I my mistake and curiosity created Acer recovery 1st DVD in a attempt, and then the next day I started the wizard again, burnt the 1st recovery DVD in a DVD-RW and remaining 2 DVDs in DVD-R.

    Later I reused the DVD-RW. Now I have DVD-R recovery disc part 1 which was not burnt along with recovery discs 2 & 3.

    The problem now is , when I try to restore my system, after disc 1 is completed its processing, it does not recoganize the disc 2 I insert.

    Is there any patch work could be done on ids etc.?

    Im sorry @Raj think it has nothing to do with the disk's being DVD-R or DVD RW i think u have done a bad burn and thats it. cant imagine there would be any difference burning the recovery disk's on -R or RW since ur lappy can handle both of them. what u can do is getting same OS with good disk's do a clean install and put ur produkt key when told.
