So every time I unplug or plug in the power cord my laptop lets out a really awful BEEP!
Here's what I've tried to get rid of it:
-Went into Device Manager and then to "Beep" where I set the startup to "Disable", so the status read "Stopped".
-Uninstalled Realtek HD Audio Driver and updated to latest version
-Installed version 2.29 of Realtek HD Audio Driver thinking it would have a level adjustment for the Battery Beep.
The only thing that seems to work is uninstalling the Realtek HD Audio Driver, but I would rather not have to go that far to stop this.
So everything mentioned on the internet hasn't worked for me. So my question is how are people getting a slider for the battery beep when going into speaker properties? For me it's nonexistent or hiding somewhere... Pretty sure the issue is with the driver. So if you know which one has the volume slider for the beep that would be great too.
Well thanks for any help and I'm completely open to any other alternatives.
Running Windows 7 and I still have version 2.29 of the Realtek driver installed.

Uninstall Realtek driver and use the one from Windows driver database (which is automatically installed during windows setup)...
As far as I know this is the only way to remove awful "beep" sound... -
Ok. So I finally found a Realtek driver that lets me adjust the PC Beep under the Levels tab in the Speaker Properties.
Realtek HD Audio 2.03 driver download from Guru3D.com
Worked for me, not sure if the sound quality suffered or not. I don't care... no more beep.
Still don't understand why the slider isn't in the latest driver updates. -
Similar thread here... seems many don't like the beep
